About Ridge & Valley Canine

Relationship. Clarity. Real life.

At Ridge & Valley Canine, training isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level obedience. It’s about understanding behavior, creating clear communication, and providing the structure dogs need to succeed within their families and communities.

Every dog is an individual, and every household is different. Training at RVC is tailored to support dogs in real-world situations, from daily routines at home to navigating public environments with confidence.

-Observation comes before action.
Training decisions start with the dog in front of us.

-Clarity creates confidence.
Dogs thrive when expectations are fair, consistent, and clearly communicated.

-Tools are information, not shortcuts.

When used thoughtfully and responsibly, tools can support learning and safety.

-Behavior is shaped by more than training.
Environment, genetics, history, and lifestyle all matter.

-Progress isn’t linear.
Long-term success is built by working through change over time

Ridge & Valley Canine exists to guide dogs and their people through the ridges and valleys of training, providing clear, thoughtful support so progress can happen even when the path isn’t straight.

My Credentials

In-Progress:

Hi, I’m Christine, the trainer and photographer behind Ridge & Valley Canine.

I came to dog training because of my Labrador Retriever, Apollo. Wanting the very best for him pushed me to learn more, ask better questions, and move beyond surface-level advice. Life with him showed me how much clarity and thoughtful guidance matter when you’re responsible for a dog in the real world, especially when things don’t unfold neatly or predictably.

Alongside training, I also work as a dog photographer. Both paths grew out of time spent observing, learning, and being present, and they remain distinct but equally important parts of what I do.
